He prepares a secret weapon
To the music of William Tell, Stéphane Lambiel delivered a short program held high yesterday in Lugano, on the first day of championship in Switzerland.
When free starts this afternoon, Stéphane will skate again on his tango, unconvincing, Oberstdorf. In great secrecy, but he prepares a new program for Europeans in Tallin and the Vancouver Olympics!
Only fools never change their minds. Stéphane Lambiel is certainly not one. This afternoon he should submit for the second time as his free program "Tango" that offered him true victory in Oberstdorf, but, obviously, is not poignant enough, enough hard to hold the Olympic impact in two months in Vancouver. In great secrecy, the double world champion then prepares a new program.

Stéphane Lambiel & Sarah Meier triumph and are excited
[x006] Free Program
[x001] Miscellaneous
There were no surprises in terms of results to the Swiss Figure Skating Championships organized by the CP Lugano Resega. Stéphane Lambiel won his nine national title in men's field, and Sarah Meier has set for eight time in her career.
Already early after the short program, the two standard-bearers of our skating have not only maintained the position, but also increased the advantage, against, respectively, Jamal Othman, second among men.
If one can speak of surprise on samples of Swiss Lugano we then say to the public, and numerous beautiful saturday afternoon, when the Resega have agreed to meet two thousand five hundred people.
Stéphane Lambiel was also impressed by so many people.

Fan Report from Sportlounge on 14 December
Everything started around 19:00. We (me,stepfather and my mom, also a Steph fan
) entered the studios of Swiss Tv. After a short wait we were handed
our guest passes and walked for some minutes on the long corridors of
the studios. We arrived to the Lounge, where a small "aperro" found
place, little cubes of bread and cheese were offered (I only nibbled on
some bread since 1;I dont like cheese and 2; I was just toooooooo
excited!! lol) also we could choose from a variety of non-alcholic
drinks.People were a little disturbing since everyone claimed their
tables (without seats) as "I was here first",Everything we asked for
was a small spot to drink our apple juices,we didnt want to steal their
oh so precious bread cubes.. lol..
Around 10 minutes after that we were asked to move into studio 6,where they would broadcast the show. We found three places on the top range (last) of rows, but had to wait for the staff to remove some "reserved" signs, again there were persons who claimed those seats as "I was here first" They didnt have any luck since staff had seen that we were there first.. LoL,enough of that now..
After that followed a short instruction to turn off cellphones, clap here and there, remove any chewing gum..etc..Then the show master,Steffi bürri,"climbed" ontop of the stairs to our rows, telling that the show would start from there, and she'll walk down, then she also said that Stephane is WAY more nervous than we were (I'm not tooo sure about that....How could anyone be more nervous than me,without passing out ? )

Lambiel and Meier repeat as Swiss Champions
The Swiss Figure Skating Championships concluded today in Lugano, Switzerland, with the two most dominant singles skaters in Switzerland winning the gold en route to the Olympics. Switzerland will be represented in Vancouver by five athletes in figure skating, two in the ladies' event, one in the men's event, and one in the pairs' event.
Reigning Olympic silver medalist Stéphane Lambiel continued his comeback season by winning his ninth consecutive Swiss title after not competing at last year's championships. He had some trouble with his trademark quad toe and opted not to attempt the triple axel, his nemesis jump. But he put together two solid programs that keep him on track toward the European Championships in January and the Olympics in February. Winning the silver was Jamal Othman, who was the Swiss champion last season in the Lambiel's absence. He produced a six-triple free skate that earned him his eighth Swiss medal.S
MEN (final top 10 standings)

[Article] - In pain, Lambiel grew
He has attempted and succesfully completed a quadruple. At the sound of some sequences of his short program, he skated with a smile. "I'm always smiling," he said. The "William Tell" by Rossini is definitely done for him. In another life, the italian composer had he met Stéphane?
"This music is pure happiness. It is motivating. It can live life so joyous."
Stéphane Lambiel radiates. "When the trumpets come in, I crossed the ice with no straight line. It's so strong and enjoyment that you give everything you have in you."
