[Article] - Lambiel blocked for International Champs

With the appearance in "Thin Ice" takes place for the double world champion and Olympic silver medalist in Turin 2006, an automatic change of the camp of the elite runners. Stéphane Lambiel is no longer allowed in all competitions by the International Skating Union (ISU).

The regulations of the International Skating Union states that athletes may occur in the commercially oriented professional competitions such as "Thin Ice", no longer at ISU events start. Basically, it is open to professional figure skaters to be resumed in the amateur program of ISU. This, however, must be a special application to the ISU made.

The Swiss Skating Association accepted the decision of Stéphane Lambiel, while regretting that for him to participate in the next European Championships, from 24 until 30 January 2011 in Bern, is definitely no longer in question. With Stéphane Lambiel goodbye to one of the most expressive distance runners in the international competition scene. For the Swiss Skating a unique era comes to an end.
